This Welsh Charities Week, we are going to introduce you to some of our incredible team members that are supporting communities across North East Wales as part of Vision Support. 
The first person we’d like to introduce you to this week is Megan. Megan’s passion for helping others shines through in everything she does, and we’re so proud of the difference she’s making!
Can you tell us a bit about you?
Hi I’m Megan. I live in the middle of Eryri, and enjoy getting outside whenever I can, I enjoy walking and climbing the most.
I have previously worked in the activities department of a vision impairment school, so have seen the benefits of keeping people active
and love any opportunity to encourage this.
Can you tell us a bit about your Community Engagement Coordinator Role?
I get to travel all across Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham to our different social groups as well as Third Sector events and to other community groups. It is my job to help volunteers run the social groups, and also promote these groups along with Vision Support as a whole at different events.
What does your typical week look like as a Community Engagement Coordinator?
Each week can be very different; if its the first week in the month I am very busy out at the social groups, if its later in the month I’m more likely to be doing group admin, or networking with other organisations.
What is the favourite aspect about your role?
I enjoy being able to travel around North Wales meeting lots of different people, and to help the groups with organising activities and trips.
What do you love about working in the Third Sector?
Seeing how much good there is out there, and how many people care an awful lot about others.
What are you looking forward to in the coming year?
More Vision Sport activities, and starting to run some walking sessions with the Conwy Sight Loss Group (and hopefully beyond)
